The Bungee Leash Combo is our pick for a dog who surges ahead. The webbing includes about 2 feet of bungee stretch, so you feel a warning before a pull and can brace, and it is 6 feet when slack and about 8 feet fully stretched. It has a padded handle, a second close-quarters handle for traffic, a quick-release carabiner rated to 1000 kg that opens when the dog is pulling, and a poop bag holder with a locking carabiner stored inside for looping the leash around a tree or pole. DogNerd designed it as its everyday leash.
Why we like it
- Bungee stretch softens sudden pulls on your arm and your dog's neck.
- A built-in poop bag holder and a locking carabiner for tethering.
- A second handle for tight spots.
Keep in mind
A bungee leash gives under pressure, so it is a comfort feature, not a training tool. For a very strong dog, ask DogNerd about the rating. The poop bag holder holds bags that you supply.
Who it’s for
Dogs who pull or lunge, and owners who want a cushioned, all-in-one leash with a bag holder.

A leash that gives
Bungee webbing stretches about 2 feet, so a sudden pull is absorbed. DogNerd says you get a heads-up when your dog is about to pull, so you can brace yourself.
Features for everyday walks
A padded handle, a close-quarters handle and a poop bag holder make this a leash you can clip on and go. The locking carabiner stored inside the holder lets you loop the leash around a tree without unclipping your dog.
