We recommend the Pawz large mat for an owner who wants a spacious, flat resting surface with a built-in pillow for a dog who stretches out. Floofy Pets lists exact mat and pillow dimensions, an easy-wipe PVC surface and no refrigeration requirement, which makes fit and routine care easier to plan. The seller's cooling claims are not medical evidence, and this gel-filled mat is a poor fit for a pet who chews or scratches bedding because damage can expose the filling.
Why we like it
- The 115 × 70 cm mat and separate pillow measurements make it easier to check the fit before ordering.
- The seller says the gel format needs no refrigeration and gives simple wipe-or-rinse care instructions.
- A built-in head pillow gives this a different layout from a flat cooling pad without one.
Keep in mind
The mat is described by the seller as self-cooling, but the listing does not establish a medical effect or a way to prevent or treat heat illness. It should not replace access to water, shade and a comfortable room temperature. Keep it away from excessive chewing and sharp objects, keep claws trimmed, inspect it regularly and stop use if the gel leaks. Floofy Pets limits refunds to items damaged on arrival and requires contact within seven days with the original packaging retained, so review that policy before ordering. Seek veterinary help if a pet shows signs of heat stress.
Who it’s for
Dogs or cats who can rest comfortably on a 115 × 70 cm mat, in a household that wants a large indoor lounging surface. Measure your pet while stretched out and leave room for the pillow; Floofy Pets lists this product for dogs and cats, but the product is a large size.

Measure the full resting space
At 115 × 70 cm, the mat is intended for a pet who can use a large rectangular surface. Floofy Pets recommends measuring a dog while lying or stretched out; include the pillow area in your planning so the pet still has useful space for its body. The listed cat-and-dog compatibility does not mean this size will fit every room or animal.
A gel surface with no fridge setup
Floofy Pets describes the surface as self-cooling and says it does not need refrigeration. The page also identifies a PVC mat, a cooling-gel fill and a PP-cotton pillow. We treat those as product specifications, not proof of a particular temperature reduction or a health benefit for an individual pet.
Protect the mat from teeth and claws
The seller advises keeping claws trimmed, avoiding sharp objects and excessive chewing, and checking for damage. Wipe the surface or rinse gently, then dry it with a towel or let it air-dry. Stop using it if the gel leaks; this is not a chew-proof bed.
Check the limited return terms before ordering
Floofy Pets says refunds are available only for items damaged on arrival. Contact the store within seven days and keep the original packaging. That is a narrow remedy, so inspect the product promptly on delivery and decide whether these terms work for you before buying.
Keep warm-weather safety in perspective
A resting mat can be one comfortable spot at home, but it does not prevent or treat heat illness. The AVMA advises fresh water and shade and says to seek emergency veterinary care for heat-stress signs. Choose the mat for routine lounging, not as an emergency cooling plan.
