We recommend the Lighthouse eMat for a pet owner who wants a flat food-spread activity that can attach to a smooth surface during a bath or grooming routine. Its suction cups distinguish it from SodaPup's flat mats without suction cups, while the 8-inch size and care instructions are easy to compare before buying. Treat adhesion as a setup feature, not a restraint or a promise that licking will calm every pet.
Why we like it
- The suction cups give this flat mat a clear use case on smooth surfaces during grooming.
- SodaPup gives an approximate 8-inch size, so owners can check the available surface before ordering.
- The seller provides freezer and top-rack dishwasher guidance for repeat use.
Keep in mind
SodaPup lists tile, glass, tub walls and shower walls as suitable surfaces, but the listing does not give a holding-strength rating. Test the empty mat before spreading food, check adhesion again during use and stay with your pet. A lick mat does not restrain an animal or replace gradual grooming and handling practice. The supplied 10% code has not been checked in a cart.
Who it’s for
Dogs or cats that already accept suitable soft foods and can be supervised with a lick mat. It is most useful when the intended tile, glass or tub surface holds the suction cups securely.

A flat mat that can attach to smooth surfaces
The Lighthouse eMat uses a lighthouse and sea-scene texture on a round mat measuring about 8 inches across. SodaPup lists suction cups for tile, glass, tub walls and shower walls. That setup can put a small lick activity within reach during a bath or grooming routine, provided the selected surface holds the cups securely.
Use the suction cups as a placement feature
SodaPup positions this mat for bathing, grooming and nail-trimming routines. Its product page does not give a suction-strength rating, so press the empty mat onto the surface and check that it stays in place before adding food. Recheck it while your pet uses it and remain close; the mat is not a restraint or a substitute for patient handling practice.
Keep the food familiar and suitable
The brand lists spreads and soft foods such as wet food, yogurt and purees for the textured surface. Choose something already suitable for your pet and account for it within their usual feeding plan. Stop if your pet avoids the mat or tries to chew it.
Check care and material details
SodaPup describes the mat as TPE, freezer safe and suitable for the top rack of a dishwasher. Follow the instructions included with the product and inspect the surface and suction cups regularly. The brand describes the TPE as FDA-compliant and BPA-, PVC- and phthalate-free; these are manufacturer statements.
