The Squeak Ball is our pick for a dog who loves squeakers and evening fetch. It is made from FDA-compliant PUP-X synthetic rubber with a built-in squeaker, it floats for water retrieval and it glows in the dark after a few minutes of bright light. The medium is 2.8 inches across and 3.5 oz and the large 3 inches and 6.8 oz, and SodaPup says it fits most ball launchers. It is made for average chewers, so a power chewer is better with a nylon toy.
Why we like it
- A squeaker and a glow-in-the-dark finish in one ball.
- It floats, so it works for the pool, lake or beach.
- Two sizes cover small to large dogs.
Keep in mind
Squeakers can be a hazard once a toy is damaged, so remove the ball if it tears. SodaPup says no dog toy is indestructible: supervise chewing, inspect the toy regularly and replace it if it is damaged or pieces break off.
Who it’s for
Dogs who like squeakers, fetch and water, and average chewers. Not the choice for a dog who tears rubber toys apart.

Four toys in one
SodaPup describes the ball as a squeaky toy, a chew toy, a fetch ball and a water toy. The squeaker is inside the ball, which SodaPup says makes it harder to fall out.
Charge it, then play
Hold the ball under a bright light for a few minutes and it glows in the dark. That makes evening fetch easier and helps you find the ball in the garden.
