Chicken Jerky is our pick for a simple, single-ingredient training treat. Rockwell Pets Pro makes it from 100% dehydrated chicken breast, sourced from USDA-inspected meat and made in the USA, with no fillers, grains, gluten, by-products, egg, potato, soy, corn, wheat, artificial colors or preservatives. The 4 oz resealable pouch is easy to carry, and a one-ingredient label suits owners who watch what goes into the bowl. Treats still count toward daily calories, and a dog with allergies or a medical diet needs the vet's sign-off.
Why we like it
- A single ingredient, so it is easy to match to a dog with a restricted diet.
- Gently dehydrated, so it needs no fridge and keeps in the pouch.
- A resealable pouch for training bags and travel.
Keep in mind
Count treats as part of your dog's daily calories and break them into small pieces for training. A dog with a medical condition, allergy or prescription diet should have a vet confirm any new treat. Rockwell Pets Pro's own guidance describes the product as a reward, not a complete diet.
Who it’s for
Dogs that work for chicken, owners who want a short ingredient list, and dogs on a restricted diet whose vet has approved chicken. Not for a chicken-allergic dog.

One ingredient, easy to read
The label is chicken. For owners managing allergies or just wanting fewer unknowns, a single-ingredient treat is simple to evaluate, and Rockwell Pets Pro lists the absence of grains, soy, egg and artificial additives.
Using it for training
Jerky strips tear into small pieces, which makes them good rewards for repetition. Keep the pieces pea-sized for sessions so the treats do not add up to a meal.
