The Oval Mat is our pick when you already have bowls and want a better-looking way to protect the floor. It is made from durable, non-toxic silicone, measures 10 × 21 inches and comes in Toffee and Sea Foam. maxbone designed it to match its Square Bowls. It is a flat mat, so it will not contain a big spill the way a raised-edge mat will.
Why we like it
- A simple silicone mat that wipes clean.
- Colors that match the Square Bowls.
- A low price for a floor protector.
Keep in mind
maxbone does not list a raised edge, so spills can run past the mat, and the page does not give care instructions. Wipe it clean after meals.
Who it’s for
Pets with a bowl or two of up to about 6 inches across. Check that your own bowls fit within the 10 × 21 inch mat.

A mat that matches

Know its limits
A flat silicone mat catches drips and crumbs, not a tipped bowl. For raised edges, look at the Wild One Cat Placemat.
