The Dream Cloud Futon is our pick for a flat, soft bed that suits a crate, a car or a corner. It is 3 inches thick, overstuffed with high-memory polyester fiber and tufted so the fill does not clump, and it is reversible. You can machine wash the whole bed on a cool setting and tumble dry on low. The small measures 23 × 17 inches for dogs up to 25 lb and the medium 30 × 19 inches for dogs up to 35 lb. The large and extra large are sold out at the time of writing.
Why we like it
- The whole bed goes in the washing machine.
- A low profile fits a crate or the back of a car.
- Reversible, so you can switch sides.
Keep in mind
It is a thin, flat bed, so it will not suit a dog who wants a deep bolster or orthopedic support. The large and extra large were sold out at the time of writing, and sizes are listed by dog weight.
Who it’s for
Small and medium dogs who like a flat bed, and owners who want a bed that fits a crate. A flat 3 inch bed is not an orthopedic bed.

A flat bed for crates and cars
A 3 inch bed fits where a bolster bed will not. maxbone describes it as suitable for a stylish addition to the home or for comfort in a crate.
Washable by design
Many beds cannot be washed whole. maxbone says the tufting stops the fiber from clumping, so you can machine wash the entire bed on a cool setting and tumble dry on low.
